We are often questioned over why we have our GB Campaigns and why do we have to follow them. So, Im going to tell you about my journey in the game.

I began in a guild of 2 people, with a bit of advice but no practical help. I had built Oracle of Delphi and I think I had Zeus but really low level under 20. I did GE up to maybe level 2 and occassionally did GBG. My city was a mess, full of houses, goods prod, produce etc. My FP production was less than 20 FPs a day. Then the guild leader got an invitation to join MasterMinds (not the current guilds of that name – so dont bother looking for them) but he didnt want to leave me guildless so said he would only join if I could come too. He warned me it was a serious guild and I would have to try really hard otherwise I would get kicked, so with great trepidation I joined. What a revelation. Everyone said Hi, and straightaway Penny and Sully were in there giving me advice on what to sell, what to build and they started me away collecting BPs for my Arc, my Zeus was taken to lvl 10 and I was given ToR.

It seemed to take forever to level my Arc….but eventually I got there, then I began my work through the Campaigns. The speed I passed people in my friends list became faster and faster so I could see my rate of improvement in real terms, which I found a great incentive. Developing CC, CdM and AO increased my fighting ability but more importantly my FP production really rocketed enabling me to build faster and faster.

It was clear that the campaigns had been well thought out to give the biggest boost in a positive catch 22, more FPs, more levelling, more fighting ability, more FPs, more levelling…..
Over time it became apparent that there were a few small glitches such as SC in the system and the previous guild leader was intransigent over changing what he thought was a perfect system.
When we launched the Lifeboat we decided this was the time to make the adjustments we thought beneficial, we dropped HS and have now removed Inno too, we have made SC a floating GB to be built regardless of campaign, but when the player approaches Arctic era.

The new Special Events have also created some questions for us, but we believe that, at the present time, our system is still the ideal. GBs are consistent so perfect for new players who havent experienced Special Events – it takes a year or two to get fully maxed out Special Event stuff enough to fill your city, the downside is you cant use Blue Galaxy on GBs. GBs also donate to the guild treasury enabling us to open GE and get the most we can from GBG. So you may be asking why Im helping the Treasury for GBG, well, even if you dont take part you get the benefits. GE increases the Guild level – that means buildings are cheaper to construct, troops heal faster and you get more FPs from the Town Hall, so the guild is always giving you a little boost. With GBG you benefit by gaining fragments of the various rewards even if you didnt do a single fight, those statues give you FPs helping you progress your GBs.

Finally: Our GBs our initially selected to give you maximum FPs and fighting ability, as you move through the campaigns buildings like CF are added mean rewards from quests are increased (more diamonds etc) and BG which allows double rewards from collecting. Yes the BG is extremely powerful and maybe you wonder why its not earlier in the campaigns – the answer is you want to maximise the benefit by having the most powerful Special Event/Settlement buildings you can get and those take time to develop.

Stick with the plan – Ive gone from less than 20 FPs a day to over 1800 a day by following our method plus hundreds more when GBG is on

If you want to discuss any aspect or, if there’s anything you want to ask me please either ask in the Bar or you can DM me
